Advice to the Incoming Class:

Don’t take this time for granted. Put in the hours, do the hard work and enjoy the freedom you have to push your creative ideas. This is one of those times you only get out what you put in, so go ALL IN. Also – don’t be a baby when it comes to criticism. Let your classmates and teachers help you grow. That’s what it’s all about!

What does the Circus mean to you?:

This is hard to even put into words. I grew more in my two years at the Circus than in the previous 8. It broke me down and built me up. I love that crazy place with all my little creative heart.

Describe a monumental, light bulb moment for yourself while you were at The Circus:

I remember going to Dan Balser one afternoon because I was having trouble sorting out what it really meant to be an art director. We had this incredible conversation and I learned I truly was on the right path. Shout out to Dan for shedding some light!

Favorite project you’ve worked on:

This would have to be The World of Coca-Cola Racing which I worked on at a previous job (IMG LIVE). Coca-Cola has an incredibly rich history in motor sports which most people would never know about. For their NASCAR sponsorship, I was able to dive into this history and bring it to NASCAR fans by creating a mobile museum. I had the privilege of visiting Coca-Cola’s INCREDIBLE archives which house rare artifacts from their most unique endeavors (read: original Norman Rockwell paintings and million dollar marble fountains). I sorted through items dating back to the early 1900’s and curated the entire experience. The mobile museum is headed into its fourth year on the road and fans still get jacked about it.
