Omid Amidi – Creative Director at Johannes Leonardo

Omid Amidi is an internationally awarded Creative Director at Johannes Leonardo in New York. He is of Persian descent, though he was born in France and grew up in Libya before moving to Canada.

Before he got into the ad game, he was a nationally ranked tennis player and the co-creator and editor of a nationally awarded literary prose journal.
After winning the YoungGuns International Creative Brief while interning at john st., he landed his first full-time job at droga5, Sydney where his very first campaign won him his very first Cannes Lions.

From there, it’s been a trip. Omid’s created some of the most memorable and impactful campaigns of the last few years in ‘Share a Coke’ and ‘Choose True Friendship’, picking up over 60 awards (including 9 Cannes Lions + a Creative Effectiveness Lions), and mastering the act of ordering late night pizza to the office from Sydney to San Francisco to New York.

Awards aside, Omid is committed to solving business problems by challenging audiences and the preconceived notions created by the industry’s plethora of white noise.

Guests, to RSVP, please email Hannah Heller (hannah.heller@creativecircus.edu) by Friday morning. Students – no need to RSVP.

After you RSVP, Hannah will email you the link.

This virtual forum is open to the public (mandatory for students, of course).
