2021 Maymester Round-Up

Another Successful Maymester

We’ve recently completed another Maymester at The Creative Circus! For those who are unfamiliar, Maymester @ The Circus is a partnership between The University of South Carolina & The Creative Circus. Students can earn up to three hours of upper-level elective credit offered by The University of South Carolina. Students have the option to participate in this program for course credit or simply for the experience.

The first week of the program focuses on content exploration including, classes on branded social media and basics for creating content. The second week is lab-intensive and allows students to employ new skills by using our photography studios and editing their imagery and ideas to produce a final project.

At the end of each Maymester we survey the group’s participants to see how we can continue to mold and improve the program over time. Each year we are humbled by the feedback, and this year was no different even with adjustments from COVID-19.
