Advice to the Incoming Class:

Be self motivated, because what you give is exactly what you get.

The school is small and everyone knows who works hard and who doesn’t.

Treat every assignment as if it’s book (portfolio) work or as if you’re getting paid to do a job. As that holds you accountable for the assignment.

Lastly photographers get out of the studios and go mingle with everyone, not just the quarter you came in with your next job could literally come from anyone in the building!

What does The Circus mean to me?:

The Circus means so many thing to me, but mostly I can say that I found my self at the Circus. I built up confidence and relationships with people I never thought I would know and continuously reach out to me for projects and for that I’m super grateful!

Life as a Photographer:

Life as a freelance photographer is exciting, because you never know who’s gonna reach out to you. BUT and there’s a but the jobs you work may not be the most glamorous sometimes. Just trust your instincts things will start coming together sooner than you think!
