UGA + Creative Circus: Summer at The Circus Session I
Wondering exactly what it is our Summer at The Circus students are experiencing in their program? Kathryn Harmon of The Creative Circus, and professors Kirsten Strausbaugh-Hutchinson & Jay Hamilton of the University of Georgia have been documenting everything including the classes and assignments on the official SATC blog. In case you haven’t gotten a chance to head that way, we’ve got a link round-up below to give you an idea of what they’ve been up to during Session I:
- Minds were blown in Dan Balser’s Strategy Development class.
- It’s a rite of passage to meet the infamous faculty member who single-handedly predicts every Pantone Color of the Year, and the students got to do just that.
- They put their sharpies to the test with marker comps – a lot of them.
- Even with the demanding work load, they had time to play games between classes.
- Bill Bernbach once said, “An important idea not communicated persuasively is like having no idea at all,” and our SATC students practiced just that in Dave Haan’s presentation class.
- Though our SATC students are only halfway through their program, they helped us bid adieu to those we’ve had for the past two years.
July 8th is the start of summer classes for our full-time students and the beginning of Session II for Summer at The Circus. It hasn’t been the same around here without them and we can’t wait to see happy, rested faces back in the hallways again.
